I was a senior in college in NJ and was working on a term paper and watching Monday nite football when Howard Cosell made the announcement. Cried a lot that week. I later that week (Sunday) travelled to Central park for the vigil where thousands of Lennon fans gathered in silence. It then started to snow gently. Also attended a vigil service at Princeton University for Lennon as well. Big big loss for the music world and world in general.
